Fern-Howard strengthens its team to meet growing demand
As Fern-Howard continues to grow, and launches their new EdgeLED branded range of luminaires, two key members have been appointed to the team - each of whom brings extensive knowledge and experience.
George Peaston – IT Manager
Having previously worked for companies such as Greenbrook Electrical PLC and Simmons Bedding Group, George has extensive experience in setting up and running network and IT systems, business process review and implementation as well as factory capacity planning controls.
His experience will help ensure that the day-to-day processes at Fern-Howard will continue to run smoothly as the business grows and expands, and that customers are served to the high standards that they have come to expect from Fern-Howard.
“I’m excited to be joining Fern-Howard when the company is expanding its manufacturing in the UK – this is a time of growth and change and it’s great to be able to help move the business forward”
Derek Defty – Moulding Projects Manager
Derek Comes from an engineering background, particularly in plastic moulding, having worked both as Sales and Technical Manager for Mannesman Demag and for Koch-Technik UK, where he was initially Mouldshop Forman and then responsible for Injection Moulding Machines.
His extensive engineering and technical expertise – processing of polymers as well as product testing and servicing – means he is ideal suited to his new responsibilities at
Fern-Howard; looking after existing customers, developing new customer contracts and seeing projects through from conception to production.
“It’s good to be joining the business at a time of growth and when they’re leading new technologies. Opportunities like these are rare and it’s great that it’s a UK firm that is making the running.”
Both these appointments will add a new dimension to an already strong team, and ensure that Fern-Howard can service the growing demand for their innovative new generation of EdgeLED based luminaires.
